My works are often meditations or reflections on art making itself, or on personal and shared experiences of life - in its absurdity and solemnity.
We may read "there is nothing new under the sun" (Ecc 1:9). Perhaps then, the visual language of exploration, navigation and "progress" of prior generations can give pause today - even if only in Memento Mori.
Yet making art allows new paths to be seen when diverse elements are triangulated and presented as a whole. Although personal and autobiographical for the most part, I hope the "slow seep of meaning", offers conceptual and or aesthetic satisfaction for anyone who takes the time.
Research, quotation and collage helps me examine language, experience and meaning-making in creativity individually and within society.
